The Head Resident serves as an assistant spiritual and community leader of the Wesley residential ministry. This role cultivates a Christ-centered living environment where students grow in faith, leadership, and community while ensuring the residence hall operates safely, smoothly, and hospitably. The Head Resident oversees daily operations of the building and partners closely with the Campus Director to support the mission of the Wesley Foundation.
Foster a Christ-centered culture rooted in humility, integrity, and discipleship
Provide relational care to residents, offering mentorship, prayer, and encouragement
Work with RAs to address roommate conflicts and personal concerns, connecting students to campus/community resources when needed
Encourage healthy, respectful behavior and a positive living environment
Recruit, train, support, and supervise Resident Assistants and student leaders
Coach students leading outreach, small groups, and events so they feel equipped and encouraged
Delegate responsibilities and empower residents to serve and take ownership of the community
Oversee day-to-day dorm operations including safety, cleanliness, and policy compliance
Manage room assignments, tours, move-in/out processes, keys, and damage reporting
Maintain clear communication with residents and staff
Coordinate building chores and shared responsibilities with residents
Oversee Resident/Non-Resident parking, Game Day parking
Communicate with cleaning and maintenance vendors and track repair needs
Order supplies and manage basic inventory (paper goods, cleaning supplies, etc.)
Schedule inspections, pest control, and minor maintenance projects
Respond promptly to facility concerns and communicate with appropriate maintenance contacts and leadership
Help create welcoming spaces through attending meals, events, and participating in shared life
Collaborate closely with the Campus Director and Wesley leadership team
Growing Christian faith and commitment to servant leadership
Experience in discipleship, mentoring, or student leadership
Strong relational, organizational, and communication skills
Ability to oversee facilities and logistics responsibly
Self-starter who works independently and as part of a team
Preferred: seminary student or graduate student with a heart for campus ministry
Furnished private bedroom and private bathroom within the Wesley residence community provided at no cost
Utilities and parking included
$10,000 annual stipend
Live-in position within the Wesley residence community
Includes evening and weekend responsibilities consistent with residential ministry
Flexible scheduling with encouraged time off for personal health and Sabbath
